SHARE partners with ProtoCall for urgent or emergent issues after hours, on weekends, and during official University holidays. Students seeking SHARE services who call the office (609-258-3310) after hours will be automatically rerouted to ProtoCall. ProtoCall counselors are licensed mental health professionals and the first point of contact for students who call after hours regarding situations involving sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, and/or stalking. ProtoCall counselors will speak with students to better understand their concerns and will connect students with a SHARE advocate if the caller has specific or time-sensitive questions about resources, advocacy, or options. (If a student issue is not time-sensitive, the student will be encouraged to schedule an appointment with SHARE during normal business hours.) Once on-call SHARE staff are involved, students may receive the following emergency services:
- Consultation by phone
- Accompaniment to the Department of Public Safety for victim advocacy
- Support for forensic examinations in Mercer County
For imminent danger situations, please call 911.
